As early as the Stone Age, man began to build bows for hunting and in almost all cultures of the world, the bow was the most important distance weapon for many centuries. In modern times, archery with modern "compound bows" enjoys great popularity, but in many indigenous cultures people still hunt with simple bows. As part of our Sunday programs, children have the opportunity, with professional support, to shoot with a "real" medieval bow themselves.
